Project Bookbag

Groups of students at Central High School and Russell County High School each worked to pack book bags with school supplies for child victims of disaster in our community.  All together 60 book bags were packed with items like notebook paper, folders, glue, scissors and crayons so that when a disaster, such as a family fire happens, the children can get a jump start on returning to normal by being able to get back to school with all of their needed supplies.  The youth groups held drives at their schools for supplies and raised money to buy additional supplies to accomplish this goal.
